Second Chance Foundation

A few years ago, Jasper Paul was in a horrific car accident. His car was crushed, but miraculously, he survived. Given a second chance at life, Jasper knew he had to make it count.

As he recovered, he couldn’t ignore the heart-wrenching reality around him—people abandoned by their families, homeless and living in unbearable conditions. These individuals had no food, no shelter and no hope.

Jasper couldn’t just walk past them. He decided to dedicate his second chance to giving others one, founding The Second Chance Foundation to rescue and care for the homeless. Today, the foundation is a lifeline for over 200 elderly people and has rescued more than 3,000 individuals, providing food, shelter, hygiene and essential medical care to those who’ve been forgotten.

Here are some of the key things the Second Chance Foundation does:

• Providing a bed and a home for people who live on the streets
• Bathing, cleaning and providing fresh clothes for people who can’t afford to buy a single shirt
• Providing food for people who used to look for food in garbage cans
• Providing basic medical care to people who can’t afford a single tablet

But there is more work to do and Jasper cannot do it alone.

As part our danaStars campaign we as team Menkib; (Shreya, Tanisha, Vijay, and Kayo) are working together to raise funds for the organization, specifically to raise funds for life-saving medicines and medical supplies for individuals who have gone years without proper treatment.
